Starting an Aesthetic career can be a daunting experience, and often most trainees leave their course feeling totally inadequate and unprepared to start injecting clients safely. It takes practice and and experience to perfect delivering safe aesthetic treatments.  At JV Aesthetics we offer mentoring and support to health care professionals new to aesthetics who are looking for guidance once they have qualified in aesthetics and are looking to start practicing. 

 Shadowing & Mentoring is an ideal opportunity for you to gain knowledge & help build your confidence within this growing and competitive industry. Working with a mentor can help you avoid making mistakes commonly found within aesthetics and build confidence much quicker than going it alone. 

Whether you currently work in the NHS or private healthcare, setting your own aesthetics business can be overwhelming. Shadowing & mentoring allows you to learn in a non pressured environment and at your pace. Mentoring sessions can be tailored to your learning needs.

I felt my aesthetic course left me with knowledge gaps that impacted my confidence to perform procedures. 

Julie is truly an amazing mentor. She is personable, a great communicator and welcomes all the questions I throw at her. Julie challenges me in situational conversations and is able to adapt her style to ensure I fully understand our topic.

She has taught me how to assess a client's movement rather than rely on injection patterns. I've grown my knowledge of complications because Julie explains the why, what if and how to treat.

Mentoring and shadowing days cost £300 a day, 10-4pm. This consists of observing the injecting of clients presenting for various treatments throughout the day. You will observe the consultation process, the treatment, and the aftercare and documentation process. 

(These days will usually include seeing clients for review appointments, which is valuable in being efficient in after care and top up/correction doses that may be required).

These days can be tailored to your learning needs, which we will discuss at the time of booking your session. 

As part of the mentoring process, during the session, you are welcome to bring up to three of your own clients to inject while being guided and supervised by an expert injector. This needs to be arranged in advance of your session. 

JV aesthetics offers prescribing for anti-wrinkle treatments and emergency medications to aesthetic colleagues. To qualify for this service you will need to attend a session for the prescriber to observe your injection technique and to see your qualifications, certificates and insurance documents. This service can be offered at £30 per prescription request and your clients will need a face to face consultation with the prescriber. This is a requirement of the MNC when prescribing a prescription only medication for another clinician.
